At The Remodeling Outlet, we appreciate your business and want to ensure that all returns are handled smoothly, fairly, and in line with our product-handling standards.

Please review our return requirements below before initiating a return.

1. Return Window

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
  • Anything received after 30 days is not eligible for return.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Cabinet trims, panels, moldings, fillers, toe kicks, and all other cabinet accessories
  • Any flooring products returned via UPS or small-parcel carriers (not allowed)
  • Any item received after the 30-day window
  • Damaged return shipments (see section 8)

3. Restocking Fee

  • All approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • This covers inspection, handling, and warehouse processing.

4. Flooring Returns (Mandatory LTL Freight Only)

Due to the weight and fragility of flooring materials:

  • All flooring returns must be shipped via LTL freight
  • UPS, FedEx, or small-parcel returns are not accepted for flooring
  • Customer is fully responsible for arranging the LTL shipment

5. Cabinet Returns Over 70 lbs (LTL Required)

Any cabinet product weighing over 70 lbs must be returned via LTL freight.

Small-parcel carriers may damage heavy cabinetry and therefore cannot be used.

6. Return Authorization Required (Photos Needed)

All returns must be pre-authorized.

Before sending anything back, customers must:

  • Request a Return Authorization (RMA)
  • Provide photos of the unopened shipment
  • Receive written approval

Returns sent without authorization may be rejected or refused.

7. Customer Responsibility for Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for all shipping charges for returning products
  • We do not provide prepaid labels
  • Customers must arrange their own shipping, including LTL freight when required

8. Condition of Returned Goods (No Credit for Damaged Items)

To receive credit:

  • Products must arrive in perfect, resellable condition
  • If the returned shipment arrives damaged, no credit will be issued
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to properly package and protect the shipment

9. Packaging Requirements (UPS Returns)

For UPS/small-parcel eligible items:

  • All boxes must be fully edge-protected on all sides
  • Any return that arrives with insufficient protection may be rejected

10. Customer Must Arrange Shipping

  • All return shipments (LTL or UPS) must be arranged and paid for by the customer
  • The Remodeling Outlet does not schedule or coordinate return pickup services
